Our name “Sanafi” is a blend of Santorini and Anafi, the stunning neighboring island that sits just across the horizon.

Artemis, born and raised in Santorini, is deeply familiar with the island’s volcanic soils. Through his successful journey, he has refined his vision, bringing forward the dynamism of Assyrtiko and showcasing the variety’s diversity and expressiveness across different regions of the island. With dedication to the vineyard and a commitment to selecting consistently high-quality grapes, his philosophy is completed by evidence of Assyrtiko’s remarkable ability to stand the test of time.

What first enthralled me about Amyndeo was its extraordinary altitude – a challenge I found impossible to resist: to craft Assyrtiko in such a cool and singular climate. At the same time, Xinomavro captivated me, a varietal brimming with intensity, character, and immense potential. With patience and meticulous vinification, it can stand alongside some of the world’s most age-worthy wines.
